
Dear Dunkin Donuts,
I learned today from this mention in the Boston Globe and Shanghaiist that you are finally expanding into Mainland China. All I have to say is, where were you guys during those 5 years in Shanghai when I was craving a Boston Creme donut (pictured above) and had to settle for a chocolate donut from Mr. Donut on Huai Hai Road that tasted like styrofoam? How about all those mornings I waited in line at Starbucks for my $4.25 Tall Vanilla Latte wishing for your old school $1 coffees with free refills?
No worries, it's all good. It was either going to be you or Krispy Kreme to hit Shanghai first. Part of me is glad it's you because of those years I spent getting fat on your stuff during my crazy college kid years in Boston.
