Interesting timing for this news to hit. Just a few days ago, we're talking about the breakdown in talks between China Mobile and Apple over the iPhone and today there's buzz that China Mobile is moving forward with plans to introduce Blackberry to the China market. Granted, the Blackberry isn't as sexy as the iPhone, but compared to Apple who just started talks with China Mobile in the last half of last year, RIM has apparently been working at developing a relationship with China Mobile for several years now.
With 320 million customers in China Mobile's pocket and "buy" recommendations on Wall Street, as Shaun Rein mentioned on my show Tuesday, it might be time for Steve Jobs to hop on his private jet and pay a personal relationship building visit with China Mobile.
