The irony of this is shortly after filming this, someone dropped a suitcase on my foot after diving for his luggage and dragging it off the conveyor belt. Ouch.
Just wanted to give a quick view of the calm before the storm. Riding the escalator down to baggage claim where trying to get your luggage can feel like diving for a fumbled football.
Spent the morning in San Francisco *frazzled* upon realizing that I left a BCBG shoe under the bed of the other hotel Janet and I stayed at the night before. Apparently an orthopedic surgeon conference made it impossible to book 2 nights in a row last minute. Didn't have time to go back for it so now I'm wondering what to do with the other shoe. I think I'll have the drag queens of Shanghai autograph it at tomorrow night's Divaliciousness Party and put it on eBay. LOL.
Had fun in San Fran the other week meeting lots of great people, tons of great meetings...but of course, I also found time to sneak of goofy Seesmic in for everyone to say hello. (see above)
Offf to Shanghai next week! This blog is about to get lots busier and more updated. :o) Stay tuned!
Busy day today. I did my weekly show after a 2 week holiday break from it. Still getting over my cold so not feeling 100% but still managed to get addicted acquainted with Seesmic. Here's a super cute video of my son I want to share. He's discovering himself on the webcam and monitor for the first time while saying hello to Joe. The cool part about Seesmic that takes it a step further than just recording and uploading to YouTube is the community that is growing around the concept of talking to each other with cameras almost realtime. Case in point, as soon as I finished the video below, no more than a few minutes passed and I received reply videos from other members of the community saying hello back to Kyle. That beats a text comment on YouTube anyday. Truly interactive.
Honestly, all this joking around among snobby web 2.0 geeks aside, this concept has a real potential to take off. I look at it for its platform and potential, not its current "pre-Alpha" test mode. This video conversation format is going to replace a lot of writing on blogs as well as Twittering and voice mails. Watch, you'll see.
