Thanks to @michelleoshen for sharing this video first on her blog. The fact that I've watched it ten times cracking up confirmed what I have been denying for a while now. I'm a total geek because I find this hilarious. I'm going to find some RL people at the mall today to POOOOKE. Heh.
It's the weekend. Hard to think up really deep China thoughts. Let's keep it light and to the point shall we. This remains one of my favorite YouTube videos of all time. Always nice to reminisce on when you're tired of reading current events about Chinese hackers and want to be reminded that at their core, wired youth around the world don't really behave all that differently from country to country.
Anyways, I still manage to crack up while watching this old video for several reasons:
The guy in the background just sitting there.
The little guy on the left is wearing a cast on his left arm but that doesn't stop him.
It's cool to see that college kids everywhere in the world goof off.
This is some of the best lip synching I've ever seen.
what's really cute is after they became famous for the above video, these guys went on to be featured in a real music video where i think they really did sing. It's good to see that the little guy no longer required singing and dancing with a cast on his arm. I was starting to worry.
Ok, I am even later to posting this than everyone else. Let's blame to the time difference. I was doing my usual trolling through Rick's Pandapassport blog and Ryan's Humanaught blog and came across this funny video above.
This reminds me of a period of time when I was young and stupid in Shanghai (aka, college years) and bored one day, my friends and I were walking down Huai Hai Road on a super crowded Saturday and decided to stop in the middle of our tracks and just stare up at the sky. Didn't take long for a crowd to form around us and look up at what we were supposedly looking at.
...then we'd walk a few blocks further and stop in our tracks and look at the ground. Again, a crowd formed. LOL.
Needless to say, it was a short lived form of entertainment but this video reminded me of that.
